PUBLICATION OVERVIEW
The Avenue Magazine is Northeastern University's premier fashion and culture publication, offering a platform for student creatives to express their unique perspectives. As a student-led initiative, every aspect of the magazine—from conceptualization to production—is handled entirely by Northeastern students passionate about visual storytelling, design, and cultural commentary.
Each semester, the team produces a thematic issue exploring contemporary topics through fashion, art, photography, and writing. With a community of over 250 members across different creative teams, The Avenue has established itself as a significant cultural voice on campus and beyond, in the Boston community.
MY ROLE & EVOLUTION
My journey with The Avenue has been transformative—evolving from freshman contributor to President over three and a half years. Through six distinct issues, I've progressed from photographer, writer, and designer to Director of Photography and Creative Director, most recently leading 200+ creatives on the PLEASE issue.
This community has refined my leadership capabilities and artistic perspective, teaching me to balance creative vision with practical execution. The Avenue continues to serve as an essential incubator for emerging talent, where students develop professional skills while making meaningful contributions to Boston's creative landscape.
