DESCRIPTION

During my final senior year at Northeastern University, I had the privilege of serving as president of The Avenue, the university's student-run fashion magazine. This 128-page issue blends fashion photography, art, and writing, centered around the theme of pleasure—explored as a question, an action, and a feeling, creating an ambiguous and multifaceted perspective on the concept.

As President and Associate Design Director, I led a creative team of over 200 students, overseeing all aspects of the production process, including styling, hair and makeup, graphic design, photography, video, editorial, and communications. Collaborating with the newly appointed creative directors, Emily Shropshire and Meena Padhye, and the design director Sammy White, we conceptualized and developed the magazine from its initial idea to its final execution. I played an active role in the design process, working as associate design director to create much of the front matter, a 12 page photography spread, as well as several posters and merchandise pieces, contributing to the overall visual direction of the magazine. Additionally, I directed my own photoshoot, shot a photo essay, and immersed myself in every aspect of the magazine's creation.
